Nanzhao, officially The People's Republic of Nanzhao (Simplified Chinese 南赵人共和国),(Traditional Chinese 南趙人共和国) , is a nation both in South East Asia where it is the second largest and most populous but Nanzhao is Culturally part of East Asia where it is the third largest and second most populous.
Nanzhao has borders with four countrys, Peoples Republic of China, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Laos People's Democratic Republic and the Union of Myanmar, And to the south you have the South china sea.
Nanzhao is made up of six provinces and one Municipality.
Nanzhao is home to 14 cities with a city proper population of 1 million or more. These 14 Cities have about 50% of Nanzhao's wealth and are home to over 48.5 Million people, that is 17.3% of the entire population of Nanzhao.
Today Nanzhao is one of the fastest growing economys in the world and it has helped to reduce the poverty rate from 60% in 1980 to around 9% in 2004. However the PRN is now faced with many problems such as a rapid rise in HIV/AIDS, a widening Urban - Rural income gap and environmental degradation.
Nanzhao has one of the largest economies in the world ranking 12th worldwide (Nominl) and 6th by PPP, this has been due to the huge amounts of FDI since 1980 when certain parts of Nanzhao, opened up to the world. It is one of the BRINC countries.
The area around Yunnan, Guangxi and Guizhou during the 1800's and 1900's was unofficially known as 'Toright' much like Peking and Canton was and when Nanzhao gain independance it unoffically was known as Toright in the west especially in Western Europe.

Tropical rainforest of Jianfeng Mountain, Hainan. The forest covers some 470km2, it contains 78 species of rare plant, 68 species of mammal, 215 kinds of bird, 400 kinds of buterfly, 4,000 kinds of insects, 38 kinds of amphibians and 50 kinds of reptiles and is described as a "Paradise of Wild Animals"

According to statistics, the karst forest is a rare original forest to survive with Central Asian tropical karst features. The forest and karst formations create an ecological system of profound scientific value. It provides a natural science museum of karst formations for scientific research as well as particularly fascinating and beautiful scenery

Economy of Nanzhao
Nanzhao is a Newly Industrialized Country (NIC) and is distinguished as an Secondary Emerging Market by the FTSE group with Nanzhao being one of two Emerging Markets after Buesti and Ravoi in the SCJU. Compared to other SCJU nations, Nanzhao has one of the largest economys but is the poorest overall with about 81.2 million people in poverty.
The Economy of the Peoples Republic of Nanzhao is a rapidly growing Socialist Market Economy And has an annual GDP growth rate of around 9.1% for the past 20 years the economy is very fast growing nearly as fast as PRC. Nanzhao's success has been primarily due to manufacturing as a low-cost producer. This is attributed to a combination of cheap labor, good infrastructure, medium level of technology and skill and high productivity.
Nanzhao's rapid growth has pulled millions of its people out of poverty since 1980,Today, about 29% of the Nanzhao population (81 Million) lives on less than $2 a day. 99.1% of the population is relatively literate. Nanzhao's middle class population (defined as those with annual income of at least US$5,000) has now reached 50-80 million people and is growing. Nanzhao's retail market is estimated to be worth US$495 billion in 2009, it is also one of the worlds largest consumers of luxury goods.
Due to all this industrilisation Nanzhao is an incredibly polluted country.Consequently, the government has promised to use more renewable energy with a target of 10% of total energy use by 2010 and 30% by 2050.
Politics
The PRN is one of the last Six Communist states. The Government has been described as Communist and Socialist but also Authoritarian with many basic rights that are available in the west not in Nanzhao with heavy restrictions on the Internet, the media, Freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and freedom of religion.
However compared to the closed door policies until the 1970's Nanzhao has become very open but is still very far from the democracy that is seen in Europe and much of North America. The National Nanzhao Peoples Congress has been described as a 'rubber stamp' body. The President is Chen Wenling and the Premier is Chen Ronji.
The Country is run by the Nanzhao Communist Party which is guaranteed power by the constitution. Unlike other Communist states The PRN does have an election every five years where the populance can vote on the president but the President is a pre-approved and pre-selected member of the NCP but holding the elections gives more power to the people while still being in power which has kept the NCP popular.

Human Rights
While economic and social controls have been greatly relaxed in Nanzhao since the 1970s, political freedom is still tightly controlled by both central and local governments. The Constitution of the Peoples Republic of Nanzhao states that the "fundamental rights" of citizens include freedom of speech, freedom of the press, the right to a fair trial, freedom of religion, universal suffrage, and property rights. However, these provisions do not afford significant protection in practice against criminal prosecution by the State.
Censorship of political speech and information is openly and routinely used to silence criticism of government and the ruling Nanzhao Communist Party. In particular, press control is notoriously tight: Reporters Without Borders considers the PRN one of the least free countries in the world for the press where all media is state owned and controlled.
A number of foreign governments and NGOs routinely criticize the PRN, alleging widespread civil rights violations including systematic use of lengthy detention without trial, forced confessions, torture, mistreatment of prisoners, restrictions of freedom of speech, assembly, association, religion, the press, and labor rights. Nanzhao was the second largest executer of capital punishment, accounting for roughly 16% of total executions in 2004 after PRC with 70% but since Nanzhao became a Full member of the SCJU Toright has banned Capital punishment but reports say that Nanzhao still carries it out illegally.
The PRN government has responded by arguing that the notion of human rights should take into account a country's present level of economic development, and focus more on the people's rights to subsistence and development in poorer countries. The rise in the standard of living, literacy, and life expectancy for the average Nanzese citizen in the last three decades is seen by the government as tangible progress made in human rights. Efforts in the past decade to combat deadly natural disasters, such as the Earthquakes, and work-related accidents are also portrayed in Nanzhao as progress in human rights for a still largely poor country.
International relations
Nanzhao has established diplomatic relations with over 180 countries as of 2008. Nanzhao holds Membership with over 50 international orginisations such as The SCJU, United Nations, ASEAN,WTO,East Asia Summit,BASIC or G5, WTO, G-20, G-20 Developing nations, IMF, and many more.

Pearl River Delta 珠江三角洲
The Pearl River Delta Region (PRD) (simplified Chinese: 珠江三角洲; traditional Chinese: 珠江三角洲; pinyin: Zhūjiāngsānjiǎozhōu) in southern China and eastern Toright occupies the low-lying areas alongside the Pearl River estuary where the Pearl River flows into the South China Sea.
The Pearl River Delta has become the world's workshop and is a major manufacturing base for products such as electronic products (such as T.Vs and P.Cs), toys, garments and textiles, plastic products, and a range of other goods. and is geared for the export market mainly Europe, Atlantica and Asia.
The Pearl River Delta is notoriously polluted, with sewage and industrial waste treatment facilities failing to keep pace with the growth in population and industry in the area. A large portion of the pollution is brought about by factories run by Hong Kong manufacturers in the area. Much of the area is frequently covered with a brown smog. This has a strong effect on the pollution levels in the delta.
Pollution is perhaps one of the greatest risks to the Chinese White Dolphins that inhabit the area.
On March 22, 2007 the World Bank approved a $96 million loan to the PRC government and $ 45 million to the PRn government to reduce water pollution in the Pearl River Delta.
Metropolitan Area
The Pearl Delta is one of the most densely populated areas of the world. And the Western half in Nanzhao is home to over 26 million people.

Transport in The People's Republic of Nanzhao has experienced major grwth since the 1980's.
Rail is the primary method of transport in Nanzhao and has grown phenomonally since the 1980's with an extensive network providing service to the nation. Some larger cities have a metro system. The Motorway system has improved significantly with thousands of Km of paved motorways linking most of the country.
Rail
Rail is the most used form of transport with Nanzhao having thousands of Km of track linking most of the major cities and towns. All of the fleet is either diesel or electric. The rail system is very extensive with lines extending to Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing and Guangzhou, China. Most of the Rail system is used for long distance with only really stops in the centre of the city or at important places such as Airports but Guangzhen has a High speed intercity system. But a system is under costruction in Guiyang, Guizhou province.
As of 2007 around 50% of the track is being used for highspeed trains or is planned to become a highspeed link.
In 2004 a link between Chengdu, China - Shenzhen, China was completed and around 80% of it passed through Nanzhao, the line was built to allow good produced inland to be transported to the coast, the goods are check by customs in Chengdu then they are sent through Nanzhao wihout any customs checks to Shenzhen, China therefore cutting costs and time.
Metro
Only two cities have a metro system in Nanzhao Guangzhen and Foshan. The Guangzhen Metro has around 270Km of Track and the Foshan Metro has only 19.8Km but it is expected to grow to 37Km and be connected to the Guangzhou metro on a special line.
